As noted in another post, today is John Maynard Keynes’ 138th birthday.
From the perspective of his longtime friend and frequent critic Friedrich Hayek Keynes was a brilliant mind but he had very little knowledge of economics and didn’t bother to read any of the classic economic output of the 19th Century because of his dislike of that time period.
