Now Accepting Fellowship Applications for the 2016 – 2017 Academic Year

Mercatus Center Academic & Student Programs is now accepting applications for the 2016 – 2017 academic year. We offer programs for students interested in political economy and public policy. Apply to one of our programs today for an opportunity to enhance your studies and get practical experience applying the economic way of thinking to current academic and policy questions!
The MA Fellowship is a two-year, competitive, full-time fellowship program for students pursuing a master's degree in economics at George Mason University who are interested in pursuing careers in public policy. It includes full tuition support, a stipend, and practical experience as a research assistant working with Mercatus policy scholars. It is a total award of up to $80,000 over two years. The application deadline is March 1, 2016.
The Adam Smith Fellowship is a one-year, competitive fellowship for graduate students attending PhD programs at any university, and in any discipline, including economics, philosophy, political science, and sociology. Smith Fellows receive a stipend and attend colloquia on the Austrian, Virginia, and Bloomington schools of political economy. It is a total award of up to $10,000 for the year. The application deadline is March 15, 2016.
The Frédéric Bastiat Fellowship is awarded to graduate students attending masters, juris doctoral, and doctoral programs at any university and in a variety of fields including economics, law, political science, and public policy. Bastiat Fellows receive a stipend and attend colloquia on public policy. It is a total award of up to $5,000 for the year. The application deadline is April 1, 2016.
